Basically, DATASURFER's work is to extract data from databases, compute analysis and statistics then display, print or export results in various ways.

Recurring jobs can be stored as reports. A report contains the specification of data extraction and presentation. When opening a report, fresh data are retrieved from the databases so as to display an up-to-date document. Most often, reports are launched from the Favorites menu.
