REPORTSERVER
REPORTSERVER is a report output
engine to be installed on a web server. It can publish reports created with
REPORTMAKER or DATASURFER
in response to remote client queries, as if reports were dynamic Web pages.
So, your usual business documents may be published worldwide. You can also
restrict access to registered users and filter data according to their
rights. So, you can allow your customers, employees and partners retrieve
invoices, statements of accounts, inventory reports, custom catalogs....
Reports can be launched from any static web page, by means of HTML links
or input forms. By default, REPORTSERVER
will respond to clients by producing HTML pages complying to
the graphic style of your website. Alternatively, it can produce PDF
documents or any other supported file format.
All REPORTMAKER features are
supported: visual models, multilingual reports, parameter-entry forms,
selection of output formats. Report hyperlinks allow to surf from a report
to another, just like HTML links.
REPORTSERVER offers additional
features: dynamic menus, query utility, download management system, task
scheduler, remote administration system. All of this makes a complete
Intranet reporting system.
As REPORTSERVER generates pure HTML
pages, it's risk-free and doesn't interfere with firewalls and anti-viruses.
